Behind a hidden bookcase door.

When Detective Robert Walton arrives, he finds a house that’s too quiet. No forced entry. No struggle. Just a dead man in the tub and a family that has vanished.

Then he finds the basement. Hundreds of handwritten notebooks, every one signed with the same name: Beatrice Clover. But these aren’t her published novels. The stories in these notebooks are darker. Kidnappings. Murders. Experiments.

And some of them are starting to come true.

A woman sits alone in a bathtub in a dark room. Is she a victim, or the most dangerous one of all?
Reader reviews: impossible to put down; kept me guessing until the final page; dark, intelligent and deeply unsettling.
Perfect for readers who love Blake Crouch, Gillian Flynn, Black Mirror, Shutter Island and Severance.
