The Movie Method

a 30-day system to rewrite your life using the movies you already love.

Hello friends,

I’ve spent my entire adult life in the business of make-believe as a writer and executive producer. I was there when Walter White broke bad. I sat in the rooms where Don Draper sold the American Dream. I helped bring the zombies of The Walking Dead to life and what I’ve learned is…

Stories are how we make sense of the world.

Human beings are narrative creatures. We don’t think in data; we think in scenes.

We relate to one another through characters.

We understand the world not through charts and graphs, but through the rise and fall of a hero.

When life feels chaotic—when you lose your job, or your relationship falls apart, or you feel stuck—it’s usually because you’ve lost the plot. You don’t know what story you’re in anymore.

That is why I wrote

THE MOVIE METHOD.

I was tired of reading self-help books written for robots. You know the ones—they tell you to wake up at 4:00 AM, drink kale smoothies, and optimize every second of your existence. They made me feel like I was failing just by being human.

But movies? Movies are the key to making sense of life.

That is the core of this book. It is a 30-day system to rewrite your life using the stories you already love. I wanted to take the wisdom hidden in the movies we love and turn it into a practical system.

  • We learn Commitment from Gattaca (”I never saved anything for the swim back”).

  • We learn Willpower from The Usual Suspects (”The will to do the impossible”).

  • We learn about Order from Apollo 13

Each chapter ends with “The Director’s Cut”—concrete, actionable steps to take the wisdom from the screen and apply it to your career, your relationships, and your future.

I truly believe that if you commit to these 30 days, you will stop feeling like an extra in your own story. You will start to see the plot twists coming. And you will know exactly how to handle the villains.

Today, I am thrilled to reveal the cover:

Jeremy
